Đảo Lớn to Đảo Bé: arrange the boat and your way back
Đảo Bé adds a second boat journey to a Lý Sơn trip. A mainland ferry ticket does not establish this connection, and a short sea crossing can still be disrupted. Decide whether the extra transfer suits your available time before building the day around a beach visit or an overnight stay.

Ask about the actual operating trip
Confirm your date, carrier, passenger details, boarding place and ticket procedure for Đảo Lớn–Đảo Bé. Ask whether departure remains subject to the day's sea conditions. Published trip counts or crossing estimates are not a promise. Get a contact that can answer operational questions; a general accommodation booking or an old itinerary does not confirm a boat.
Locate the pier before leaving your room
Request the meeting point in writing and, where useful, a map pin. Do not automatically head to Bến Đình because that was your mainland arrival port. Check how you will reach the island-to-island departure point, what baggage is accepted and whether your bags must be carried over steps. Keep the essentials in a compact, splash-protected bag and listen to boarding instructions.
Set the return arrangement first
Before boarding outward, establish how your return is confirmed and whom to call if the plan changes. Allow time for reaching the pier from the village or shore. For a day visit, avoid an onward mainland ferry or flight that depends on a tight boat connection. For an overnight visit, discuss meals, water and a possible additional stay with the host.
Let conditions decide
Check marine information and local operating instructions, not only the rainfall symbol on your phone. Choose ticketed transport with a place for each passenger and an appropriate lifejacket; decline an overloaded departure. If a sailing is suspended, respect the decision and use a Đảo Lớn alternative. Neither a paid ticket nor a calm-looking harbor guarantees permission to depart.
