Tay Ninh areas: understand the destination before planning
For a short sightseeing trip, plan around named places rather than assuming every attraction in today’s Tay Ninh province is nearby. This guide covers the traditional Ba Den–Hoa Thanh–Trang Bang circuit; the expanded province also includes the former Long An area.

Province name versus visitor base
The 2025 provincial reorganisation merged the former Tay Ninh and Long An provinces under the name Tay Ninh. An older article’s reference to “Tay Ninh city” therefore does not identify the administrative centre of the entire present province. For accommodation and transport, use the property’s exact map location and current address, not the province label alone.
Build three practical clusters
Treat Ba Den mountain and its managed visitor facilities as one main outing. The Cao Dai Holy See in Hoa Thanh is another cultural anchor, with entry arrangements set by the religious community. Trang Bang is a useful separate food and craft stop on the Ho Chi Minh City approach. These clusters help choose a base without treating them as one walkable centre.
Place outlying trips on their own day
Dau Tieng requires a specific, permitted shore access point; “the lake” is too imprecise for a driver. Lo Go–Xa Mat and the Southern Central Office historical base are longer, separate excursions rather than quick additions after a summit visit. Before departure, share saved map pins, parking arrangements and the return pickup location with your driver.
