Tour Mobility Checklist: Follow the Whole Journey

Start with what you need to enjoy the outing, not a broad label such as suitable for seniors. One traveller may want less walking; another may need step-free access or space for equipment. Describe your own needs and ask for written confirmation from the operator who will deliver the trip.

Trace the journey from the hotel door to the final return. Where does the vehicle stop, and what lies between that point and the entrance? Ask about steps, slopes, loose surfaces and places to sit. For a boat, ask how boarding and disembarking work, not simply whether transport is included. Confirm the actual arrangement, not a different vehicle pictured online.

If you use mobility equipment, explain its relevant dimensions and ask about storage, loading and access at each stop. Clarify who can provide the assistance you request; a guide or relative should not automatically be assumed able to lift someone. Ask about toilets and whether a shorter route preserves the parts you most want to see.

Keep the operator's answers with the booking and reconfirm before departure. If a required arrangement cannot be confirmed, consider another route or provider rather than treating silence as agreement. VietnamGuide can help organise these questions, but cannot certify a tour's accessibility or the availability of assistance from a general description.
