Lý Sơn ferry cancelled: protect the rest of your journey

Ask the seller and operating carrier for the affected route, date and direction, and check the port notice if weather is involved. At the 3 November 2026 check, Phú Quốc Express listed Sa Kỳ–Lý Sơn maintenance suspension from 15 September 2026 pending further notice. That concerns that operator only and does not establish that every carrier has stopped.

Tell your accommodation, driver and airline or rail seller about the likely delay before their change deadlines pass. If you are already on Lý Sơn, ask your host about an extension while confirming the next operational update. For a high-consequence onward flight, a mainland night after the eventual return may be preferable to another tight connection.

Save the ticket, payment proof, cancellation message and any written policy accepted when booking. Ask whether the seller offers a refund, date change or transfer and which charges apply. Carrier, agent, hotel and airline terms can differ; a cancelled ferry does not automatically establish entitlement to reimbursement of every other travel expense.

Check an alternative operator's actual permission, inventory, passenger details and return arrangement before paying again. Do not treat a booking screen as proof of departure or accept an overloaded vessel to save the itinerary.
