Where to stay on Lý Sơn: port convenience, village life or sea views
Choose a base by the journeys you will repeat: arriving with luggage, finding dinner and returning after an outing. A striking view may be worth a longer transfer, while a central village location can simplify ordinary needs. Verify each address against your actual port and planned east or west sightseeing cluster.

Near which port?
Ask for the accommodation's exact address and the route from your confirmed arrival point. “Near the port” is incomplete when mainland arrivals and Đảo Bé boats are separate arrangements. Confirm pickup, any charge and the final walk to the entrance. Port convenience is especially useful for an early departure, but ask about traffic and room orientation if quiet sleep matters.
A village base for everyday choices
Staying among settled streets can put local meals and small purchases within a manageable walk, but verify what is actually open near your address. Ask how far dinner options are and whether you can return comfortably after dark. Look at access and noise as well as room photographs: a room over a busy frontage has a different rhythm from one facing an inner courtyard.
A coastal room needs a second look
Ask whether the view is from your booked room or a shared terrace. Check windows, shade, ventilation and how wind or rain affects the balcony and approach. A shore location does not mean a suitable swimming beach is outside. Confirm how you will reach meals and arrange a ride back; attractive isolation becomes inconvenient if every small errand requires negotiation.
Choose the base that fits your route
An eastern outing can combine Thới Lới, Hang Câu and Chùa Hang; a western one can pair Tò Vò with Chùa Đục. Compare lodging locations against those groupings without expecting to stay beside every attraction. For a short trip, one reliable base usually reduces packing and transfer effort. Make a separate decision about Đảo Bé if considering an overnight there.
