Ly Son in 3 days and 2 nights: Big Island with an optional Dao Be day
Three days and two nights allow one main-island base, a possible Dao Be excursion and time to enjoy Ly Son without collecting landmarks. This version keeps both nights on Big Island, reducing the number of luggage moves. Dao Be depends on a separately confirmed boat journey; it is an option within the plan, not a guaranteed feature of every three-day visit.

Day 1: arrival and the western landscape
After check-in or confirmed bag storage, take time for a meal before heading to To Vo. Add Chua Duc only if its current access and the uphill effort suit your group. Keep the day’s travel within the western area rather than crossing to the east for another photograph. If the mainland crossing arrives late, a short shoreline view and dinner are enough.
Day 2: Dao Be when the boat arrangements work
Before leaving Big Island, confirm the departure point, operating boat, return arrangements and suitable lifejackets. Travel with essentials and water rather than all your luggage. Once on Dao Be, balance a public village walk with a shore stop and rest; swimming or snorkeling are separate, condition-dependent choices. Return to your Big Island accommodation for the second night as planned.
If Dao Be is unsuitable, change the activity
Use a confirmed heritage visit and a slow food-focused village outing as the alternative to the sea crossing. Do not call To Vo a new attraction if you visited it yesterday, and do not promise every cultural venue is open. You may exchange the eastern outing with the Dao Be day if a verified forecast and boat availability support that change.
Day 3: choose the east, then leave space to return
If the confirmed ferry timing leaves room, choose Hang Cau and perhaps a modest, permitted Thoi Loi viewpoint. Otherwise, have breakfast near your lodging and focus on checkout and the port. Keep an important onward flight or train away from a fragile same-day sea connection. The stated plan has two nights; any disruption night must be arranged separately, not silently added to the itinerary.
